留学生退学、休学、复学管理规定 Regulations about Dropout、Suspension and Reentry of International Students

Regulations about Dropout of International Students 
Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications

 

In order to further standardize the teaching management of international students and ensure the quality of education for international students, referring to the Handbook for Students of NJUPT and Handbook for International Students of NJUPT, the specific rules are stipulated as follows.

 

1 International students shall drop out from the university in any of the following conditions

1) Those who violate Chinese laws, or severely breach universitys discipline and cause serious consequences;

2) Those who have not registered within two weeks without permission or have no solid reasons;

3) Those who have left university for two consecutive weeks without asking for approval or do not return to university in two weeks after the holiday; or go abroad and do not return to university in two weeks without the approval of the university;

4) Those whose excused absences accumulate to a third of the total class hours in one semester while students have not applied for a suspension of schooling;

5) Those who have not applied for reentry within the stipulated time when the suspension ends;

6) Those who discontinue their study due to illness, accidental injury or disability diagnosed by the hospital recognized by the university;

7) Those who have not completed their studies within the longest period specified by the university;

8) Those who apply for dropout from university and have obtained approval from the university

 

2 The undergraduate international students shall drop out from the university in any of the following conditions

1) The GPA for the cumulative academic year < 1.0;

2) The attendance rate for one semester < 50%;

3) Those whose truancy has reached 60 class hours or those who do not attend teaching activities for two consecutive weeks without permission;

 

3 The graduate international students shall drop out from the university in any of the following conditions

1) Those who are unqualified to continue studying for a master's or PhD’s degree after assessment;

2) The time of the truancy for one semester reaches 30 class hours or do not participate in the teaching or research activities specified by the university for two consecutive weeks without approval;

 

4 The process of dropout 

1) For the students who meet the dropout condition, College of Overseas Education(hereinafter referred to as COE) shall inform them with the offical dropout notice. If the student does not respond to the notice or the university fails to reach him, the COE shall post the dropout notice in official website for one week, which is deemed that the student has received the notice. COE shall organize the leadership meeting and determine the international students namelist of dropout. The minutes of meeting about the dropout shall be submitted to the Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School and Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges for further processing.

2) If the international student applies for dropout on his or her own, he or she shall submit the written application 4 weeks before the start of each semester. The undergraduate students shall get the advisers approval and graduate students shall get the supervisors approval first.  COE shall organize the leadership meeting and determine the international students namelist of dropout. The minutes of meeting about the dropout shall be submitted to the Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School and Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges for further processing.

3) If the international student dies due to some reasons, the student status will be automatically canceled. The dropout proposal and relevant proof shall be submitted to he Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School and Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges for further processing.

 

4 Others

The regulation shall be effective on the date of promulgation and COE is responsible for the interpretation of the regulations. 

                          


Regulations about Suspension and Reentry of International Students
 Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications 

 

In order to further standardize the teaching management of international students and ensure the quality of education for international students, referring to the Handbook for Students of NJUPT and Handbook for International Students of NJUPT, the specific rules are stipulated as follows.

1. For Students who have to suspend the study due to illness diagnosed by the university clinic or designated hospitals as well as other special reasons, adviser(for undergraduates) or supervisor(for graduates) shall have preliminary scrutiny and College of Overseas Education (hereinafter referred to as COE) will examine for approval. COE will submit the proposal of university suspension to the Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School and Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges and relevant colleges.

2. Students shall submit the application in the first four weeks of every semester (suspension due to health reasons excluded). In principle, the suspension shall last for one year and students shall finish study within the longest study period.

3. Students in suspension shall deal with the procedure of leaving school and leave school within ten days since they get the suspension notice. In some condition, the university shall help students change residence permit to short-term visa in the immigration office and maintain their students status. The students could not apply for any scholarship or allowance during suspension.

4. Students shall apply for the reentry with a written application 1 month prior to the suspension deadline. COE shall submit the proposal of reentry to the Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School and Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges and relevant colleges. The students shall pay the fees and get registered after getting approval of reentry.

5. Students who suspend their study due to health reasons shall offer the health certificate issued by the university clinic or other designated hospitals when applying for reentry and registering for new semester.

6. Students who violate Chinese laws or severely breach university rules during the suspension are unqualified to go back to univeristy.

7. Students who go back to univeristy after suspension shall register in the same major as their enrollment before the suspension. The exact grade or class shall be determined by suspension period, and they shall follow the cultivation program of the new grade after suspension.

8. The regulation shall be effective on the date of promulgation and COE is responsible for the interpretation of the regulations. 


南京邮电大学国际学生退学规定

为进一步规范留学生教学管理,保障留学生教育质量,依据《南京邮电大学学生手册》、《南京邮电大学研究生管理手册》、和《南京邮电大学国际学生手册》,特制定本规定。

一、留学生(包括本硕博)有下列情况之一者,应予以退学

(一)违反中国国家法律或严重违反校纪校规、造成恶劣影响者;

(二)未经请假批准,逾期两周未注册而又无正当事由者;

(三)未请假离校连续两周或假满逾期两周不返校者;或出国(境)未经学校批准延期且逾期两周以上未归者;

(四)一学期请假达学期时间三分之一且没有申请休学者;

(五)休学期满,在学校规定期限内未提出复学申请者;

(六)经学校指定医院诊断,患有疾病或者意外伤残无法继续在校学习者;

(七)在学校规定最长年限内未完成学业者;

(八)本人申请退学并获得学校审核同意者。

 

二、留学本科生有下列情况之一,也应予以退学

(一)学业成绩累计学年绩点小于1.0者;

(二)当学期总出勤率小于50%者;

(三)一学期累计旷课达到60学时或未经批准连续两周未参加学校规定的教学活动者。

 

三、留学研究生有下列情况之一,也应予以退学

(一)经考核不宜继续攻读硕士学位或博士学位者;

(二)一学期累计旷课达到30学时或未经批准连续两周未参加学校规定的教学或教研活动者。

 

四、退学处理流程

(一)对拟作退学处理的留学生,由金沙1005官方app下载出具退学处理意见,并通知留学生本人。如本人对学院通知一直不予以回复,或者学院无法联系到学生本人,金沙1005官方app下载将退学通知于学院网站公示一周,视作退学通知已传达到本人。通知发出一周内无异议,金沙1005官方app下载将拟处理意见提交学院分管院长签署意见,经金沙1005官方app下载党政联席会议审议批准后,报所在专业学院备案,交教务处、研究生院和国际合作交流处处理。

(二)对留学生自愿申请退学的,在每学期开学前4周,本人提出书面申请,本科生经辅导员同意,研究生经导师同意,学院分管院长签署意见,经金沙1005官方app下载党政联席会议审议批准后,报所在专业学院备案,交教务处、研究生院和国际合作交流处处理。

(三)留学生因意外或其他原因死亡的,自动取消学籍。由金沙1005官方app下载提交处理意见并附相关证明,报所在专业学院备案,交教务处、研究生院和国际合作交流处处理。

 

五、其他

本规定自发布之日生效并由金沙1005官方app下载负责解释。

 

南京邮电大学国际学生休学、复学规定

 

为进一步规范留学生教学管理,保障留学生教育质量,依据《南京邮电大学学生手册》、《南京邮电大学研究生管理手册》、和《南京邮电大学国际学生手册》,特制定本规定。

 

(一)留学生病,经学校医院或指定医院诊断认为应当休学者,或因其他特殊原因确需休学者,本科生经辅导员同意、研究生经导师同意,金沙1005官方app下载审批后予以休学金沙1005官方app下载管理部门将拟处理意见提交学院分管院长签署意见后,报所在专业学院备案,交教务处、研究生院和国际合作交流处处理。

(二)休学申请须于每学期开学后四周内提出(因病休学除外)。休学期一般为一年留学生应当在学校规定的最长学习年限(含休学、延长学习期限)内完成学业。

(三)留学生须在接到休学同意通知之日起10日内办理休学离校手续,学校保留其学籍,在条件允许下,将其居留许可换发为短期停留证件。留学生休学期间,不享受在校学习留学生奖学金及其他待遇

(四)留学生休学期满,应于期满一个月前提交书面复学申请,经所在专业学院、海外教育学院审查通过后方可缴费注册,恢复其在校学习。超过休学期限不能复学者视为自动退学。

(五)因病休学的留学生办理复学手续和新学期注册时,须提交校医院或指定医院出具的达到健康标准的证明。

(六)休学期间违反国家法律或严重违反校纪校规、造成恶劣影响者,取消其复学资格。

(七)留学生复学时,进入休学前所学专业学习,并根据休学年限确定复读年级,按复学就读年级的培养方案进行学习。
